ACO is a world know manufacturing German Company that operates in the drainage and wastewater treatment sector.

We are currently looking for a graduate with a technical background that has a minimum of 5 years experience in the building construction business to cover the Western Cape Province.

The Sales Manager for the Western Cape Province will be required to build and grow the business in his/her area by identifying key partners (Distributors, Construction Companies, Retails, Plumbers, etc.) with high concentration of high net-worth individuals.

Main Tasks

  • Organizing daily work schedule to make appointments to meet new and existing customers and decision makers
  • Find new and trustable clients
  • Meet designers, architects, engineers to develop ACO specifications on target projects
  • Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history; suggesting related and new items; understanding your customers’ needs; explaining technical features
  • Making presentations to promote new products and specials
  • Recording orders and sending details to the sales office
  • Agreeing sales, prices, contracts and payments
  • Advising customers about delivery schedules and after-sales service
  • Keeping in contact with existing customers in person and by telephone and email
  • Meeting sales targets, specifications targets
  • Maintain and track the projects in your area
  • Participating in marketing initiatives by developing tools as presentations, publications, etc. and participating in the marketing strategy plan, to define market potential, competitors, market shares, etc.
  • Provide customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
